Dubai Racing Club’s Meydan Racecourse is home to one of the world’s richest horse races – the annual Dubai World Cup. With a purse of US$35m, the Dubai World Cup is the highlight of the city’s horse-racing scene, drawing thousands of visitors in March each year.

Capped by a spectacular concert featuring top international performers, the event is a must-see on the city’s social calendar. In the run up to the glamorous event, races run weekly from November until March. The Meydan Racecourse Grandstand is 1.5km long and seats 80,000 spectators.

Along with the iconic track, you’ll also find a horse-racing museum, gallery, five-star hotel, golf course and a business/conference centre. Horse enthusiasts are in for a treat, with horse riding, stable tours and much more on offer. Visitors can dine at the many restaurants and eateries such as Farriers and Qube, or enjoy a night out with friends at the hip Soho Garden.
